Taking up Freecycling

I finally managed to figure out how to sign up for Freecycle.  Having heard about it I thought it was too good to be true.  I mean really, a place where people will just give you decent stuff you want, asking for nothing in return except that you pay it forward?  Couldn't exist.  And would people really want my extra junk?  Er, quality used items.  Apparently the answers are yes and yes.
I did have some trouble at first.  In fact, nobody has actually responded to my inquiries about their stuff.  But I did figure how to post.  I got responses on my OFFER and my WANTED posts.  I am so excited that I am posting this now instead of waiting to see how it turns out.  So I may need to update later.  But right now I am optimistic.

Cloth diaper contest entry.

So there is this cloth diaper giveaway on the Momccupation blog.  Currently I'm using disposables.  I've always felt that they are easier and work better.  Well, I'm open to trying cloth.  What I'm not particularly open to is shelling out big bucks to try different types until I find the right ones for us.  So winning this would be perfect for us.

By the way, the color is tangerine.  Tangerine is frightfully close to orange.  Which happens to be my favorite color.

If anyone is interested, here is the link.

Plague House

I haven't had the energy to post in a while.  Since giving birth I had been sick twice.  Each time I was fortunate that I only passed it to my husband and Squiggle stayed healthy.  Well, Typhoid Squiggle was our alpha case this time.  I guess she was tired of being left out.  The whole house came down with a nasty cold.  Thankfully it is mostly gone now.  Good riddance.

New to this

Well, now that I'm here, I don't quite know what to say.  I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog for a while.  However, being semi-illiterate in computer related things, it took me a while to start.  For now I'll treat this as an online journal while I try to figure out just what it is I'm doing.  But I have to admit, I feel a bit like I'm talking to myself.
